ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College women's soccer team came up short in a 2-0 loss against Mount Union on Monday evening at Docking Stadium.

After a scoreless first half, Mount Union broke through in the 61st minute to make it 1-0. The Purple Raiders doubled their advantage in the 79th minute. 

Adrian (3-5) generated five shots in the contest, including one on goal from senior Alanna Earl, but were unable to solve Mount Union goalkeeper, who recorded the shutout with one save.

Bulldog goalkeeper Katelyn Stanton kept her side in the game with three saves, including a diving stop on a penalty kick in the 85th minute to deny Mount Union's Rachel Washburn.

The Bulldogs will look to bounce back in their next match when they hit the road against Kenyon College for a 4:00 PM kick off.
