CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - Adrian College men's soccer jumped out to an early lead on Wednesday afternoon at Mud Hollow Stadium, but Wabash responded with two unanswered goals to hand the Bulldogs a 2–1 defeat.
Nick Miller gave Adrian the advantage in the 10th minute, cutting inside from the right before striking a shot from 24 yards out into the net. The goal was his first of the season and put the Bulldogs up 1–0.
The hosts equalized in the 39th minute after a penalty kick was awarded following a foul in the box. Wabash leveled the score to 1–1 heading into halftime.
Just minutes after the second half, Wabash grabbed the game-winner. Adrian managed nine shots in the match, with Miller, Lucas Stan, and Dominic Kretschmer among those testing the Wabash back line. Goalkeeper Eli Sizemore kept the Bulldogs within striking distance, recording three saves on 19 shots faced.
The Bulldogs (2–7) will look to regroup as they continue non-conference play back at Docking Stadium on Saturday, hosting Wooster for a 4:00 PM kick off.
