ADRIAN, Mich.- The Adrian College men's soccer team hosted the College of Wooster on Saturday afternoon at Docking Stadium, where the Bulldogs came up just short in a hard-fought 1-0 battle.
The opening half was a defensive showcase from both sides, with neither team able to build much momentum. Adrian generated a few quality looks in the attacking zone but couldn't find the back of the net, recording three shots in the first 45 minutes. Wooster broke through in the 37th minute, capitalizing on a chance to take a 1-0 lead into the break.
The second half mirrored much of the first, as both defenses continued to clamp down and limit opportunities. Adrian managed one shot in the half, finishing the day with four total, including one on goal. Despite their resilient defensive effort, the Bulldogs were unable to find the equalizer, as Wooster held on for the narrow 1-0 victory.
Up Next: The Bulldogs are back in action on Tuesday, September 30 where they will head to Ada, Ohio and take on the Polar Bears of Northern Ohio University.
