ADRIAN, Mich.- The Adrian College cross country team competed at the annual Siena Heights Invitational, where both the men and women finished ninth overall.
The women's race opened the day, with Lily Etelamaki leading the Bulldogs across the line in 28th place, clocking a time of 24:51.2. Emma Frost followed in 53rd at 26:12.4, just ahead of teammate Bridget Waterstradt, who finished 54th at 26:13.1. Olivia Hyatt wasn't far behind, securing 57th in 26:29.2. Ava Arnes came through in 67th with a time of 27:42.4, while Alayna Paeth recorded a 28:46.7 mark to place 78th. Rounding out Adrian's top-seven was Emily Ventrone, finishing in 30:07.8 for 90th place.
On the men's side, Beau Shaffer paced the Bulldogs with a 56th-place finish, crossing the line in 28:02.6. He was followed by Gavin Shelton in 65th (28:33.3) and Chase Nyack in 73rd (28:54.8). Ryan Morris added an 81st-place showing with a time of 29:18.2, while Eric Ramsey (89th, 29:42.2), Chris Smith (92nd, 29:52.9), and Owen Strieter-Byron (93rd, 30:01.7) rounded out Adrian's top finishers.
Up Next: The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday, October 4 where they will travel to Grand Rapids to compete in the Calvin Knight Invite. The first race is set for 12:00 PM.
