OLIVET, Mich. – The Adrian College football team stayed unbeaten with a dominant offensive showing on Saturday, rolling past The University of Olivet, 59-27, at the Cutler Athletic Complex.
How It Happened:
The Bulldogs struck first midway through the opening quarter when Noah Beaudrie found Braiden Whitaker for a 13-yard touchdown. Minutes later, Trey Brueggemann punched in a five-yard rushing score to make it 14-0 after one.
Adrian blew the game wide open in the second quarter. Brueggemann scored three more rushing touchdowns, including a 65-yard sprint, and Jack Boike added a 31-yard field goal as the Bulldogs built a commanding 38-0 halftime lead.
Beaudrie and Whitaker connected again in the third, this time on a 52-yard strike to extend the advantage to 45-0. Olivet got on the board with back-to-back touchdown passes, but Adrian's offense stayed hot. Beaudrie hit Brueggemann for a 43-yard score early in the fourth, then answered an Olivet pick-six with an 86-yard touchdown bomb to Ethan Abberger to put the game out of reach.
