BEREA, Ohio — The Adrian College women's soccer team came up just short on Sunday afternoon, dropping a 1-0 decision at Baldwin Wallace University at Tressel Field.
The lone goal of the match came early in the second half, when Baldwin Wallace found the back of the net in the 47th minute. Despite pushing for an equalizer, the Bulldogs couldn't break through the Yellow Jackets' defense.
Adrian generated 12 shots, with six coming in each half. Annamarie Fosmoen led the Bulldogs with six attempts, including one on target, while Delaney Batur and Alanna Earl each tested the keeper as well.
Between the posts, goalkeeper Katelyn Stanton turned in a strong performance, recording five saves to keep Adrian within striking distance.
The Bulldogs fall to 3-6-1 on the season and will look to bounce back Saturday as they start conference play, hosting Kalamazoo College for a 6:00 pm kick off.
