ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College women's soccer team put forward a stellar effort and received a three-goal performance from star attacker,
Annamarie Fosmoen, in the team's 3-0 win over Manchester University at home on Wednesday evening.
The Bulldogs got off to a strong start, applying pressure on the Spartans early in the match. Fosmoen scored her first of the game in the 4th minute off a great downfield passing play from
Delaney Batur and
Ellise Fries. Just 14 minutes later, Fosmoen converted again, with Batur grabbing another prime assist.
With the game sitting at 2-0 after 45 minutes, the home team continued to dominate in the latter half of the contest, as the Bulldogs generated some sound offensive attacking with Fosmoen completing her hat-trick in the 56th minute, thanks to a great stretch pass from teammate and fellow senior,
Teagan Bergeron.
Gabrielle Fallon Revels stood in goal for the Bulldogs, earning her first win of the season, as the Bulldogs didn't conceive a single shot to the Spartans in the match. Fosmoen led her squad with 11 shot attempts, bringing her season shot total to 23 and her goal total to 4, while
Melanie Perhne closed out the night with 5 shot attempts of her own.
The Bulldogs will host Otterbein University on Saturday, September 6 at 6:00 PM as the team now sits 2-1 early in the season.
