GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Adrian College women's basketball team traveled to Calvin University on Saturday for a MIAA matchup, where the Bulldogs came up short in a 61-39 loss.
Adrian got off to a slow start but connected on timely shots to stay within reach early. Calvin built momentum quickly, establishing a lead that held through halftime as the Bulldogs headed into the locker room trailing 29-14.
The Bulldogs showed renewed energy in the second half, putting together several runs to cut into Calvin's advantage. However, Calvin responded with a decisive surge heading into the fourth quarter, regaining control and securing the 61-39 victory.
Adrian finished the game shooting 22 percent from the field, knocking down one three-pointer and going 10-of-13 from the free-throw line. Morgan Babb led the Bulldogs with 11 points while adding seven rebounds, one assist, one block, and three steals. Aubrie Ickes followed with eight points, six rebounds, three blocks, and two steals.
