ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's basketball team welcomed the University of Olivet on Wednesday night inside the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center. Despite a strong effort, the Bulldogs came up short, falling 78–64.
The game opened with an early surge from Olivet, as the Comets jumped out to a 16–4 run and controlled the momentum throughout much of the first half. Late in the opening period, Adrian responded with a strong push, chipping away at the deficit and eventually taking the lead before halftime. The Bulldogs headed into the locker room holding a slim one-point advantage.
Olivet regained control coming out of the break, opening the second half with another hot stretch to reclaim the momentum. Adrian answered with timely baskets to keep the game within reach early in the half, but Olivet took control down the stretch and secured the 78–64 victory.
Adrian shot 35 percent from the field, 37 percent from beyond the arc, and went 11-for-15 from the free-throw line.
Seth Logan led the Bulldogs with 19 points, while
Carson Lutz added 18 points along with three rebounds, two assists, and three steals.
Up Next: The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday, January 24 where they will travel to Albion College. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
