HILLSDALE, Mich. - The Adrian College track and field teams competed at the annual Hillsdale Wide Track Classic on Friday afternoon, turning in several strong performances against a competitive field.
On the men's side, Jaymes Vines led the Bulldogs in the sprints, placing seventh in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.76 seconds. Zachary Klepaski followed in the 400-meter dash, finishing 19th in 55.35 seconds. In the middle distances, Jessie Strickland crossed the line 24th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:08.89, while Chase Nyack finished just behind in 26th at 2:09.52. Brandon Berry delivered one of the top performances of the day for Adrian, earning a third-place finish in the high jump after clearing 1.93 meters (6-4.00). In the field events, Matthew Cunningham placed 10th in the pole vault with a height of 3.93 meters (12-10.75), while KJ Scott added another podium finish by taking third in the weight throw with a mark of 16.32 meters (53-6.50).
On the women's side, Madaline Goldmeyer competed in the 200-meter dash, finishing 30th with a time of 28.60 seconds. Olivia Dunscombe placed 17th in the 400-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 1:11.99. In the distance events, Isabell Peltier finished 28th in the mile with a time of 6:00.87, while Sidney Pintoney followed in 29th at 6:13.35. Alysia Townsend highlighted the women's field performances, earning a second-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 5.45 meters (17-10.75) and adding a fifth-place finish in the high jump after clearing 1.54 meters (5-0.50). Carly Sicilia placed ninth in the pole vault with a height of 2.82 meters (9-3.00), and Mallory Platzer rounded out the day in the shot put, finishing 10th with a throw of 9.75 meters (32-0.00).
