ADRIAN, Mich. – The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) announced its Three Stars of the Week for men's and women's hockey on Tuesday morning. Adrian College NCAA women's hockey player Paige Pomerleau and men's hockey player Ian Amsbaugh were both recognized.
Pomerleau is coming off a seven-point weekend for the Bulldogs in a home sweep of the University of Dubuque. She recorded a hat trick and an assist in Friday's 6-0 win, then followed with a goal and two assists in Saturday's 6-1 victory. On the season, Pomerleau has totaled 15 goals and 14 assists and ranks second on the team in points.
Amsbaugh also posted a seven-point weekend in a road series against Dubuque. He scored one goal and added three assists in Friday's 7-1 win before recording three assists in Saturday's 5-1 victory. Amsbaugh leads the Bulldogs with 36 points on the season, tallying eight goals and 28 assists.
The Bulldogs return to NCHA action this weekend against St. Norbert College on January 30–31. The women will host the Green Knights with puck drops scheduled for 7 p.m. and 3 p.m., while the men will travel to St. Norbert for games set for 8 p.m. and 5 p.m. ET.
