ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College women's basketball team welcomed Alma College to the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center on Wednesday night and came away with an impressive 80–67 victory.
The game opened at a fast pace, with both teams trading baskets early. Alma held a slim one-point advantage after the first quarter, but the Bulldogs found their rhythm in the second. Adrian caught fire from beyond the arc, knocking down timely three-pointers to take a 45–41 lead into halftime.
Adrian carried that momentum into the second half, building a comfortable lead behind strong offensive execution and defensive pressure. The Bulldogs continued to control the tempo in the fourth quarter, allowing just 10 points as they pulled away to secure the win.
As a team, Adrian shot 48 percent from the field, 44 percent from three-point range, and went 10-for-16 from the free-throw line.
Morgan Babb led the Bulldogs with 24 points while adding seven rebounds, three assists, and a steal.
Aubrie Ickes recorded a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds, along with two assists and two steals.
Up Next: The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday, January 31 where they will travel to Holland, Michigan to take on Hope College. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
