HOLLAND, Mich. – The Adrian College women's basketball team traveled to Hope College for another MIAA showdown but came up short, falling 88–46.
Hope jumped out early, building momentum in the first quarter and taking a 16–6 lead after one. The Flying Dutch continued to score at a high level in the second quarter, though Adrian found a rhythm late in the half to cut into the deficit before the break.
The second half saw Hope extend its advantage, pulling away as the game progressed. Adrian continued to battle and put together a few runs in the fourth quarter, but time proved to be a factor as Hope secured the 88–46 victory.
Adrian shot 30 percent from the field, 34 percent from three-point range, and 4-of-14 from the free-throw line. Sophia Bussell led the Bulldogs with a team-high 14 points, while Morgan Babb recorded a double-digit scoring effort with 10 points and paced the team with seven rebounds.
Up Next: The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday, February 4 where they will host Calvin University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
