ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's basketball team welcomed Hope College to the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center on Wednesday night in what turned into a fast-paced, back-and-forth battle. Despite a strong effort, the Bulldogs came up just short, falling 85–75.
The first half moved at a lightning pace, with both teams coming out aggressive on the offensive end. Hope built momentum early and gradually extended its lead as the half progressed. Adrian responded late, as a pair of timely three-pointers from
Seth Logan sparked a run to close the gap before halftime. The Bulldogs headed into the break trailing by just four.
Adrian carried that momentum into the second half, eventually tying the game and taking the lead midway through the period. Hope answered with a run of its own, regaining control and managing the clock down the stretch to secure the 85–75 victory.
The Bulldogs shot efficiently, finishing 46 percent from the field, 37 percent from beyond the arc, and 14-of-21 from the free-throw line. Logan led all scorers with 27 points, while
Carson Lutz added 19 points along with four rebounds, two blocks, and two steals.
Up Next: The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday, February 4 where they will travel to Calvin University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
