GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Adrian College men's basketball team made a short trip to Calvin University on Wednesday night for an MIAA conference matchup. The Bulldogs battled early but ultimately fell to the Knights, 92–59.
Adrian kept the game competitive in the first half despite Calvin jumping out to an early lead. The Bulldogs put together multiple runs to close the gap, but each push was met with an answer from the Knights, allowing Calvin to maintain control and momentum. Adrian went into the locker room trailing 48–31 at halftime.
The Bulldogs struggled to find an offensive rhythm in the second half, scoring 28 points as Calvin capitalized and steadily extended its lead. Despite the score, Adrian continued to compete until the final buzzer, showing toughness throughout the contest.
Adrian shot 34 percent from the field, 29 percent from three-point range, and went 16-of-23 from the free-throw line. Seth Logan led the Bulldogs with 12 points, adding one assist and two steals. Darrius Welch followed with 11 points, four rebounds, two blocks, and two steals, while Carson Lutz also reached double figures with 11 points, one rebound, and three assists.
