ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's basketball team opened MIAA play in impressive fashion inside the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center, earning a convincing 77–55 victory over Kalamazoo College.
The Bulldogs set the tone early, coming out of the gates firing on all cylinders in the first half. Adrian controlled the tempo from the opening tip, building a commanding lead and finishing the half on a strong offensive surge. The Bulldogs poured in 42 points before the break while holding Kalamazoo to just 28.
Adrian showed no signs of slowing down in the second half. Maintaining their momentum, the Bulldogs continued to extend the lead, which ballooned to as many as 30 points at one point. With consistent play on both ends of the floor, Adrian cruised to its first MIAA win of the 2025–26 season.
Darrius Welch led the Bulldogs offensively with a team-high 21 points, adding six rebounds and two blocks. Seth Logan followed with 16 points, five rebounds, and one assist, while Jeremiah Dallas reached double figures with 12 points to go along with one rebound and one assist.
Up Next: The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday, January 10 where they will host Calvin University. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
