GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Adrian College track and field team traveled to Grand Rapids, Michigan to compete in the AQ WHAC vs. MIAA meet, turning in several strong performances on both the men's and women's sides.
On the men's side, Jaymes Vines highlighted the day with a first-place finish in the 60-meter dash, crossing the line in 6.97 seconds. Vines also earned a runner-up finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.34 seconds. Cal Delisle followed with a fourth-place finish in the same event, clocking in at 52.24 seconds. Brandon Berry added a seventh-place finish in the 200-meter dash (23.76) and later placed third in the high jump with a leap of 1.86 meters (6-1.25).
In the middle-distance events, Joshua Sharp-Pelto claimed second in the 600-meter run with a mark of 1:28.13, while Zachary Klepaski finished close behind in third at 1:28.79. The Bulldogs dominated the 3,000-meter run, as Will Houvener captured first place in 9:10.05 and Ryan Morris followed with a second-place finish in 9:35.60. In the field events, KJ Scott secured second in the weight throw with an impressive toss of 17.28 meters (56-8.50).
On the women's side, Madaline Goldmeyer finished sixth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.81 seconds. In the 800-meter run, Isabell Peltier earned a second-place finish (2:42.73), with Olivia Dunscombe close behind in third (2:42.97). Lily Etelamaki placed eighth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 12:21.16, followed by Ava Arnes in ninth at 12:36.62. The Bulldogs also secured a third-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay, posting a time of 4:25.14.
