ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's lacrosse team opened up their 2026 season falling to Kenyon College, 15-8, on Saturday afternoon at Sweebe Family Athletic Center.
The Owls jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, scoring five goals in the opening quarter to take control of the contest. Adrian battled back in the second half, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome.

The Bulldogs began to find its rhythm late in the second quarter and carried that momentum into the third. Braeden McNamara got the Bulldogs on the board in the second with a goal off a feed from Tyler Ristau. Ristau later scored with 1:06 remaining in the half to make it 12-2 heading into the break.
The Bulldogs showed resilience in the third quarter, outscoring Kenyon 3-2 over the opening 15 minutes of the second half. Trace Tidswell scored twice in the period, including an unassisted tally at the 1:59 mark. Mark Veldhof and Austin Selvage also found the back of the net during Adrian's second-half push.
Adrian continued to compete in the fourth quarter with three more goals. Veldhof capped off a hat trick with two fourth-quarter scores, finishing with three goals and one assist. Tidswell added two goals, while Ristau recorded a goal and a team-high four assists. Selvage contributed one goal and two assists in the effort.
