ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's basketball team is set to compete in the MIAA Tournament for the 2025-26 season. The Bulldogs secured the No. 6 seed after winning a tiebreaker with Alma College and will open tournament play on the road against No. 3 seed Calvin University.
Adrian concluded the regular season with a 6-19 overall record, including a 3-11 mark in MIAA play. The Bulldogs' conference victories included a season sweep of Kalamazoo College and a split with Alma, highlighted by a 20-point home win late in the year.
Offensively, Adrian is averaging 76.2 points per game while shooting 42.3% from the field and 34.4% from three-point range. The Bulldogs also average 31.2 rebounds, 12.6 assists, 7.7 steals, and 2.2 blocks per contest.
Darrius Welch leads the team, averaging 15.6 points and 6.4 rebounds per game while playing 32.6 minutes per contest. Seth Logan ranks second in scoring at 14.7 points per game and has knocked down 61 three-pointers this season. Freshman Carson Lutz has added 10.8 points per game, followed by Luke Rager at 9.3 points and Jeremiah Dallas at 7.3 points per contest.
The University of Olivet captured the MIAA regular-season title and earned the No. 1 seed. Hope College claimed the No. 2 seed, followed by Calvin University at No. 3 and Trine University at No. 4. Albion College secured the No. 5 seed to round out the tournament field.
The Bulldogs will travel to Calvin on Tuesday, February 24, for a 7:00 p.m. quarterfinal matchup. With a win, Adrian would advance to the semifinals on Friday, hosted by Olivet.
