LAKE WALES, Fla. -- The Adrian College women's lacrosse team continued its strong start to the season on Saturday afternoon, cruising to a 20–5 victory over New College of Florida to improve to 3–0 on the year.
Adrian wasted little time setting the tone, jumping out to a 5–1 lead after the first quarter behind an explosive offensive effort. The Bulldogs added six goals in both the second and third quarters to build a commanding 17–2 advantage heading into the final frame.
Madeline Turcotte led the way with a dominant performance, scoring six goals and adding an assist while controlling key draws throughout the contest. Kacie Woodall finished with four goals and three assists, while Mariana Miller also netted four goals and chipped in an assist. Jenna Allie contributed a balanced effort with two goals and two assists, and Skylar Donaldson added two goals, including a man-down score in the second quarter.
Alaina Sutermeister and Avah Holland each found the back of the net once to round out a balanced Adrian attack that saw eight different Bulldogs score. Adrian outshot New College of Florida 35–15 and held a 25–7 advantage in shots on goal, while also winning the ground ball battle 30–17.
Defensively, the Bulldogs were sharp from start to finish, forcing 15 turnovers and limiting New College of Florida to just two goals through the first three quarters. Three goalkeepers combined for four saves in net as Adrian maintained control on both ends of the field. Emerysn Alberts made 2 saves, while Chloe Martin and Bella Norton each recorded 1 save.
With the win, Adrian remains unbeaten with a 3-0 record and look to keep it up on Monday as they face Warner University for a 4:00 PM draw.
