GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's volleyball team fell in straight sets to Calvin University on Friday night, dropping a 3–0 decision at Van Noord Arena. The Bulldogs battled throughout the match but were unable to slow a balanced Calvin attack.
Adrian kept the opening set close early, trading points with the Knights before Calvin pulled away late to secure a 25–20 win. The second set proved challenging for the Bulldogs, as Calvin used efficient hitting and steady defense to take the frame 25–19. In the third set, Adrian showed resilience and fought through several extended rallies, but Calvin completed the sweep with a 25–21 victory.
Dominic Rees led the Bulldogs offensively with nine kills and added an ace, while Carles Baza chipped in six kills and Sam Landers added five. Andrew Graczyk directed the offense with 18 assists, and Rolen Maclin anchored the back row with a team-high 10 digs. At the net, William Morris recorded four blocks, with Carson Bell contributing three.
The Bulldogs men's volleyball team will be back in action Saturday morning as they host Concordia Wisconsin at 11:00 AM.
