ANGOLA, Ind. - The Adrian College track and field team traveled to Trine University on Friday afternoon to compete in the annual Mrs. G Invitational, turning in a strong performance with multiple top-five finishes across both the men's and women's squads.
On the men's side, Ryan Morris paced the Bulldogs in the mile run, finishing 15th with a time of 4:44.48. Jaymes Vines had an impressive day on the track, placing seventh in the 60-meter dash at 7.02 seconds before earning a third-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.41 seconds. Cal Delisle followed closely behind in the 200m, taking 10th at 23.01 seconds. In the field events, Matthew Cunningham secured a seventh-place finish in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.23 meters, while Nikolas Hammond recorded a sixth-place finish in the long jump after leaping 6.29 meters.
The women's team also delivered several standout performances. Alysia Townsend led the way, finishing sixth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.75 seconds before claiming first place in the long jump with a winning mark of 5.47 meters. Madaline Goldmeyer added a 17th-place finish in the 200m at 27.76 seconds. In the field, Abigail Miller placed 18th in the high jump with a height of 1.40 meters, while Clarissa Berger and Ava Jones finished 18th and 22nd in the weight throw, recording marks of 12.04 meters and 10.69 meters.Â
