ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA men's hockey team celebrated Senior Day on Saturday afternoon before closing its series against Concordia University Wisconsin. The Bulldogs honored eight seniors during a pregame ceremony and followed with a decisive 8-1 victory over the Falcons.

Patrick Saini continued his strong weekend in the first period, scoring the game's first two goals to give Adrian an early lead. Concordia Wisconsin answered with a power-play goal, but the Bulldogs quickly regained control as Ryan Vellucci, Anton Sorensen, and Bradley Somers scored three goals in a span of 1:45, sending Adrian into the first intermission with a 5-1 advantage.

Adrian added to the lead in the second period when Ian Amsbaugh found the back of the net to make it 6-1. In the third, Jack O'Hanisain scored on the power play before Vellucci tallied his second goal of the game to cap the scoring at 8-1.

Somers recorded a three-point performance with a goal and two assists, while David Clarke led all skaters with four assists. Jackson Bernard earned the start in net for the Bulldogs and made 21 saves in the win.

The Bulldogs continue to hold a six-point lead in the NCHA standings with two regular-season games remaining and need one more win to clinch the NCHA Peter's Cup. Adrian returns to action at home on Friday, February 13, when it hosts Trine University. Puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m.
