Adrian, Mich. -- The Adrian College acrobatics & tumbling team hosted a home tri-meet on Wednesday afternoon, finishing second with a team score of 157.890. East Texas Baptist captured the meet title with 189.645, while Calvin University placed third with 112.675.
Adrian opened the meet in the Compulsory Event, posting a score of 20.75 across the four heats. The Bulldogs earned matching scores of 6.25 in the acro, pyramid, and toss heats before adding 2.00 points in the tumbling heat.
In the Acro Event, Adrian totaled 19.40 points. The Bulldogs strongest heat came in the five-element acro, where they scored 7.40, followed by 7.10 in the six-element heat and 4.90 in the seven-element heat.
The Bulldogs found momentum in the Pyramid Event, turning in one of their top event scores of the meet with 25.30 points. Adrian recorded solid marks in all three heats, highlighted by an 8.65 in the open pyramid and 8.60 in the inversion pyramid.
Adrian continued with a 21.95 in the Toss Event, led by a 7.45 in the 450 salto heat and a 7.40 in the open toss heat.
In the Tumbling Event, the Bulldogs scored 30.90 points. Adrian's top tumbling pass came in the open pass with a 7.450, while the duo pass added 6.500 and the aerial pass contributed 7.000 to the total.
The Bulldogs closed the meet with 39.59 points in the Team Event, bringing their final score to 157.890.
Adrian will look to build on the performance as the Bulldogs continue their 2026 season in upcoming match at Trine Sunday, March 22 at 3:00 PM.Â
