ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Adrian College acrobatics & tumbling team came up short on Sunday afternoon, falling to Trine University, 219.430-125.300. Adrian dropped to 1-3 on the season.

The Bulldogs opened the meet in the compulsory event, posting a score of 23.05. Adrian found its best success in the pyramid heat, scoring a 7.50, and added solid marks in the acro (6.70) and toss (6.85) heats.

In the acro event, Adrian totaled 22.75 points, highlighted by a 7.65 in both the five-element and seven-element heats. The Bulldogs continued to show consistency in the pyramid event, earning their highest event total of the meet with 25.10 points, including a top score of 8.70 in the open heat.

Adrian added 22.60 points in the toss event, led by an 8.10 in the 450 salto heat.

The Bulldogs closed out the meet with 31.80 points in the tumbling event. Adrian's strongest tumbling pass came in the open pass, where the team scored a 7.625, while also posting a 7.050 in the aerial pass.

Despite steady performances across several events, Trine created separation with higher start values and a strong team event score to secure the victory.

Adrian will look to rebound in their final meet of their season Saturday as they host Concordia University Wisconsin at a 12:00 PM start time.
