EUFAULA, Ala. – The Adrian College bass fishing team competed in another Major League Fishing College Series event over the weekend in Alabama. The Bulldogs qualified three additional teams for the MLF 2027 National Championship after four boats finished in the top 15 percent of the field.
Jack Kropp and Mattix Durst led Adrian with an eighth-place finish in a field of more than 220 boats. The freshman duo totaled 21.06 pounds on the day.
Connor Racine and Hoyt Nicely finished 16th with 19.02 pounds, followed by Cole Carr and Tyler Zwick in 27th with 18.03 pounds. Rance Eddelblute and Wesson Vint placed 29th with 18.02 pounds.
Gavyn Rapp and Ryan Kahut finished 33rd with 17.10 pounds. Henri Sturm and Lucas Washburn placed 69th with 14.13 pounds, while Nick Seitz and Mitch Straffon rounded out the Adrian entries in 103rd with 13.01 pounds.
Adrian now has seven boats qualified for the MLF 2027 National Championship. With the largest bass of the event at 7.5 pounds, Racine and Nicely also qualified for the Heavy Hitters Event on Douglas Lake in October.
The Bulldogs return to action March 28-29 when they travel to Anderson, South Carolina, to compete in the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Series event on Lake Hartwell.
