WALKER, Minn. – The Adrian College bass fishing team competed in the Bassmaster National Championship over the weekend on Leech Lake in Minnesota. The Bulldogs qualified five boats for the three-day event, with the top 10 boats after the first two days advancing to the final day.

Adrian was led by Jerry Brumbaugh Jr. and Quade Lobo, who advanced to the final day after sitting in seventh place following the opening two days. The duo finished 10th out of 135 boats, totaling 48 pounds, five ounces of fish.

Tyler Zwick and Ryan Kahut finished 60th with 25 pounds, two ounces, while Jose Alten and Wesson Vint placed 83rd with 21 pounds, four ounces. Hoyt Nicely and Brady Pinwar rounded out the Bulldogs' competitors, finishing 101st with 16 pounds, eight ounces.

The Bulldogs have established themselves as a national contender in recent years, winning the Bassmaster National Championship in 2021 and the MLF National Championship in 2024.

Adrian will return to competition September 19-20 at the BPS Collegiate on Kentucky Lake in Paris, Tennessee.
