ADRIAN, Mich. -- The No. 7 Adrian College Women's ACHA Division 1 hockey team will begin its national championship run at the 2026 ACHA National Championships beginning Thursday, March 19 in St. Louis, Missouri.
2026 marks the 13th consecutive season that Adrian has appeared at the ACHA National Championship Tournament. The Bulldogs enter the Women's Division 1 National Championship Tournament as the No. 7 overall seed, after a 19-13-2 season. The Bulldogs finished second in their CCWHA pod with an 11-3 conference record, which gave them the BYE in the conference tournament back in February where the Bulldogs fell to Indiana Tech 3-4 in the semifinal game.
The Women's Division 1 portion of the ACHA National Championship Tournament will operate under a 12-team pool play format. The twelve teams will be broken up in four pools of three teams apiece, with the winners of each pool advancing to the semifinal round.
The Bulldogs head down to Missouri and prepare for their first contest which will take place on Thursday at 5:00 PM CST/6:00 PM EST against No. 2 Midland University. Following that game, the Bulldogs will then face-off with No. 11 University of Massachusetts in their second game on Friday, March 20 at 5:00 PM CST/6:00 PM EST. Should Adrian win both contests, they will advance to Saturday's frozen four. The Championship game will then be played on Sunday, March 22 at 6:00 PM CST/7:00 PM EST.
The last time Adrian and Midland met was in October as Midland swept the weekend with a 2-4 regulation win and a 1-2 overtime win. The Bulldogs haven't met with UMASS since 2018 where the Bulldogs swept the weekend 2-1 and 4-1.
The Bulldogs have been led this season by senior captain
Tyla Turnbull. Turnbull leads the team with 31 points with 10 goals and team high 21 assists. Senior assistant captain
Genessie Williams has also made a huge impact on this Bulldogs team this season leading in goals with 15, along with racking up 15 assists. Graduate student
Hailey Wiltshire and senior
Taylor Robinson has also made a significant impact for this Adrian team, Wiltshire recording 14 goals and 14 assists, while Robinson closely following with 13 goals and 13 assists. Holding the blue line, freshmen
Addison Scoville has made herself known in her first year recording three goals and racking 14 assists. Scoville also earned herself a spot on the CCWHA All-Rookie team.
Between the pipes, Adrian has relied heavily on graduate student
Rieley Jessie-Gerelli. Jessie-Gerelli holds a 6-8-2 record with a 1.63 goals-against average and a .955 save percentage, totaling 633 saves and four shutouts.
All Women's Division 1 National Championship Tournament games will be held at the Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Missouri; locations that the ACHA is very familiar with, having hosted Nationals at those facilities back in 2021, 2022, 2024, and 2025. CCIC is also the official state-of-the-art practice facility of the National Hockey League's St. Louis Blues. Tickets and event passes are available for purchase
online, while all games will be streamed live on FloHockey for a subscription. Instructions on how to sign up can be found
