ADRIAN, Mich. – D3baseball.com released its Week 5 National Poll earlier this week, with the Adrian College NCAA baseball team checking in at No. 22 after slipping one spot from last week.
The Bulldogs are coming off a strong week, winning four consecutive games to extend their current winning streak to five. Adrian earned a 9-3 road victory over Heidelberg University before completing a three-game sweep of Wabash College over the weekend.
With the recent success, Adrian improves to 11-4 on the season as it prepares to open MIAA conference play. The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) also released its latest national poll, where the Bulldogs are ranked No. 28.
The schedule remains challenging for Adrian, as the Bulldogs are set to face receiving-votes Wooster this weekend and are still working to reschedule a matchup with No. 25 Baldwin Wallace. Adrian will also take on No. 20 Kalamazoo College in a three-game conference series.
The Bulldogs return to action for their home opener on Wednesday, March 25, hosting The College of Wooster at Nicolay Field. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
