GLOUCESTER, Mass. – The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) announced its NCAA Division III Men's Hockey All-Americans on Thursday night, with Adrian College's David Clarke and Ian Amsbaugh earning First Team honors in the West.
Clarke (Tecumseh, Mich.) capped off his sophomore season on defense with 32 points on eight goals and 24 assists. He recorded 69 shots on goal and finished with a +26 plus-minus rating. Among NCAA Division III defensemen, Clarke ranked second nationally in points, fourth in goals, and third in assists. He was also named to the NCHA All-Conference Team.
Amsbaugh (Bottineau, N.D.) concluded his final season at forward with 49 points on 12 goals and 37 assists. Four of his goals came on the power play, while one was shorthanded and two were game winners. He totaled 92 shots on goal and posted a +25 plus-minus rating. Amsbaugh led all NCAA Division III players in both points and assists this season.
With Clarke and Amsbaugh earning First Team honors, Adrian College men's hockey has now produced 36 All-American selections in program history.
