CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The Adrian College track and field team competed at Cedarville University on Saturday in a non-conference meet. The women's team placed 16th overall, while the men's team finished 26th.
In the 5,000-meter run, Will Houvener led the Bulldogs with a sixth-place finish, crossing the line in 15:10.91. Gavin Shelton recorded a personal-best time of 16:00.24, while Beau Shaffer also notched a personal best at 16:09.21. On the women's side, Ava Arnes posted a season-best time of 20:49.29, and Olivia Hyatt followed with a personal-best mark of 20:52.88.
In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Bridget Waterstradt claimed the individual title with a winning time of 11:28.58.
During the 1,500-meter run, Chase Nyack recorded a personal-best time of 4:15.02, while Nick Doeer added a personal best of 4:36.15. Sydney Pentoney turned in a season-best performance in the event, finishing in 5:40.87.
In the 800-meter run, Olivia Dunscombe won her heat with a time of 2:37.14.
The Bulldogs return to action on April 8-9 when they compete in the Midweek Multi hosted by Hillsdale College.
