ADRIAN, Mich. – D3baseball.com released its Week 7 National Poll on Tuesday afternoon for NCAA Division III baseball, with the Adrian College baseball team climbing two spots to No. 23. In the ABCA Top-30 Poll, the Bulldogs made an even bigger jump, moving up six positions to No. 25.
Adrian holds a 17-6 overall record and is coming off a perfect 4-0 week. The Bulldogs opened with a 6-0 win over Albion in a midweek conference matchup before sweeping Calvin University, scoring 10 or more runs in all three games. Adrian currently sits at 5-2 in MIAA play.
The NCAA also released its first NPI Rankings on Monday, which are used to help determine NCAA Tournament seeding and at-large selections. Adrian checked in at No. 18 in the initial standings.
Fellow MIAA opponent Kalamazoo College is ranked No. 10 in this week's D3baseball.com poll. The Bulldogs will look to continue their climb this week as they return to action on Wednesday at Albion for the second game of the conference series. Adrian then travels to Kalamazoo on Friday before hosting the Hornets for a doubleheader on Saturday, with first pitch scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
