MIDLAND, Mich. – The Adrian College men's and women's cross country teams were back in action Saturday morning at the Northwood Invitational.
The men's cross country team finished in seventh place out of ten teams. Once again, Joshua Sharp-Pelto led the Bulldogs with a 21:34.3 and a 25th-place finish. Finishing 43rd, Beau Shaffer ran a 22:26.3. Wyatt Vowell and Owen Strieter-Byron were separated by four seconds, as Vowell finished in 23:23.4, and Strieter-Byron finished in 23:27.4. Rounding it out on the men's side was Zachary Klepaski, who finished in 24:53.4.
The women's cross country team placed fifth out of 11 teams. After a top-three finish in the Comet Open, Bridget Waterstradt picked up right where she left off. Waterstradt finished sixth with a time of 19:13.3. Olivia Hyatt came in 29th place, finishing in 21 minutes, a career best in the 5k. Not far behind her was Lily Etelamaki, who finished 37th in 21:30.6. Emily Ventrone and Pierce Pibbles finished in 70th and 72nd place, respectively. Grace Young finished the race in 26:19.4.
