ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's and women's cross country teams competed on their home course Saturday morning, hosting the inaugural Adrian College Heritage Classic at Heritage Park.
The men's cross country team finished seventh overall in today's 8K race. Joshua Sharp-Pelto led the Bulldogs with a 21st-place finish, crossing the line in 27:14.8. Beau Shaffer followed closely behind, finishing 22nd with a time of 27:15.4. Owen Strieter-Byron placed 59th after running a 28:53.5, while Ryan Morris finished 62nd in 29:04.7. Wyatt Vowell rounded out Adrian's top five with a 67th-place finish and a time of 29:13.8. Austin Derrick finished 80th in 30:13.3, while Zack Klepaski placed 93rd with a time of 31:46.1.
The women's cross country team finished sixth overall in today's 6K race. Bridget Waterstradt continued her strong start to the season, leading Adrian with a fifth-place finish in 23:33.0. Olivia Hyatt was the next Bulldog across the line, placing 42nd with a time of 25:47.4. Lily Etelamaki finished 56th in 26:39.5, followed by Pierce Pibbles in 66th with a time of 27:21.5. Emily Ventrone placed 77th after crossing the line in 28:24.8, while Grace Youngs finished 91st with a time of 31:56.0.

The Bulldogs will return to action on Saturday, October 17, when they travel to Oberlin, Ohio, for the Oberlin Inter Regional Rumble. The first race is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM.
