ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College football team continues to receive votes in the national poll following a strong start to the 2026 season.
The Bulldogs improved to 2-0 after a 17-10 victory versus Ohio Northern before following it up with a 48-7 victory over Thiel on September 12. Adrian also gained three points in the D3football.com Top 25 and American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) national polls, continuing to build national recognition after an unbeaten start.
The Bulldogs recorded 444 yards of total offense in the game versus Thiel after 257 yards the week prior. Adrian would also score 41 unanswered points, leading to the 41-point victory, including six Adrian touchdowns. The receiving duo of Braiden Whitaker and Riley Dunbar led the charge. Whitaker finished the game with 13 receptions and went for 159 yards on the day. Dunbar finished with six receptions and went for 59 yards, including a touchdown in the second quarter. Luke Stento also had the only interception of the game midway through the third quarter.
The Bulldogs are the only MIAA team receiving votes in the Week 2 poll, trailing only No. 17 Hope College.
Adrian will look to continue its strong start on Saturday, September 19, when the Bulldogs travel to Ohio to face Mount St. Joseph University at 1 p.m.. This will be the first ever meeting between Adrian and Mount St. Joseph.
