KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Adrian College women's soccer team suffered a 3-1 loss in the first round of the MIAA Tournament at Kalamazoo College on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts from Kalamazoo got an early lead when Aliza Caplan scored a goal at 3:34. The Bulldogs then shut down the Kalamazoo offense in the first half to keep the game at 1-0.

The Hornets responded quickly in the second half, however, scoring their second goal just over four minutes into the second frame. The Bulldogs narrowed the Kalamazoo lead down to 2-1 when Sarah Evans found the back of the net on an unassisted goal. Down the stretch, however, Kalamazoo managed to score another goal to put the game out of reach for the Bulldogs.

The Adrian College women's soccer team ends their 2007 season with a 5-12-1 overall record.
