Final Stats

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College women's soccer team was defeated by the Calvin Knights 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon. Adrian is now 6-3-1 overall with a conference record of 1-1.

Natalie Veurink got Calvin on the scoreboard early as her second goal of the season came in the fifth minute of the contest. She was assisted on the play by Carly Prins. Alyssa Bergsma was the goalkeeper for Calvin in the first half of play, but she was replaced by Kayla Sulzer in the second half. The Bulldogs were shutout against both goalies even though they out shot the Knights in the second half. Calvin is currently ninth in Division III and first in the Great Lakes Region.

Steffeny Burns was in the goal for Adrian. Burns collected two saves during the game.

The Bulldogs will continue conference play on Saturday, Oct. 4th when they host Olivet at 11:00 a.m.
