Final Stats

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College women's soccer team picked up a big conference win against Hope College on Saturday afternoon at Performance Stadium by defeating the Flying Dutch by the final score of 3-2. The Bulldogs improve to 4-2-1 in conference play and post a 9-4-2 overall record.

Hope took a 1-0 lead nearly 20 minutes into the first half whe Courtney Cook lofted a kick over Steffeny Burns. The Bulldogs took advantage of a corner kick to tie the game off a goal by Sabrina Fortney. Fortney's first goal of the season came off an assist from Sarah Muylle.

The Flying Dutch scored the first goal of the second half in the 61st minute of the second half to go ahead 2-1. Fortney scored her second goal of the game nearly two minutes later off an assist from Sarah Evans to tie the game at 2-2. The game remained tied at the end of regulation sending the game into overtime.

Sarah Evans scored the game winning goal in the 95th minute of game off an assist from Lindsay Chitwood. Evans now has seven goals on the season.

The Bulldogs will return to action Tuesday, Oct. 21st with a match-up against Defiance at 6:00 p.m.
