ADRIAN, Mich. -
Seven different Bulldogs scored at least one goal as the Adrian College men's lacrosse team made quick work of the Hendrix College Warriors on Sunday afternoon to stretch their current winning streak to three straight wins.
From start to finish, the Bulldogs were in control of the game. The home team scored six goals in throughout the course of the first period, capped off by Camerin Staffel's back-to-back goals with 23 seconds left and as time expired in the quarter.
The Warriors got on the scoreboard to open up the second quarter, but the Bulldogs used another 6-0 run to stop any momentum the Warriors had hoped to gain from the goal to go up 12-1. The two teams then traded goals in the final seven minutes of the second period to give Adrian the 14-3 lead at halftime.
The Bulldogs used a pair of 5-0 runs in the second half to run away with the game.
Jeff Ivey led all scorers with 10 goals on the afternoon. Camerin Staffel (4), Tony Schrank (3), Ryan Knautz (3), Sam Alden (3), and Nolan Gillespie (2) each added multi-goal efforts to pace the offensive attack.
Eric Lindstrom picked up the win in goal by making 12 saves while surrendering five goals.
The Bulldogs (4-6) will next travel to Oberlin College on Wednesday for a 4:30 p.m. game.
