Men's Lacrosse Bring in Program Alum, Cameron Reed, as New Assistant Coach

ADRIAN, Mich. — Adrian College Athletics is proud to announce the hiring of Cameron Reed '25 as the new assistant coach for the men's lacrosse program. A familiar face to the Bulldog community, Reed, who graduated this past Spring with his Bachelor's degree in Communications, returns to Adrian after an accomplished career as both a student-athlete and leader within the program.

Reed, who hails from Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, was a standout defender for the Bulldogs during his collegiate career, helping guide Adrian to strong success over his four seasons from 2022 to 2025. Known for his work ethic and leadership, Reed was a consistent contributor on both ends of the field and earned constant recognition with numerous MIAA conference and national awards, not to mention, a Player of the Year accolade and the several statistical program records that he broke and currently holds. His deep understanding of the game and his firsthand experience within the Adrian College men's lacrosse tradition make him a strong addition to Head Coach, Brett Wetzel's coaching staff.

"We are thrilled to welcome Cameron back to Adrian College," said Wetzel. "As a former player, he knows exactly what it takes to succeed here, both on the field and in the classroom. His passion for the program and ability to connect with our student-athletes will be invaluable as we continue to build on our success."

Reed's return to Adrian College represents a full-circle moment, as he now steps into a role where he can mentor and guide the next generation of Bulldogs. He will assist with all aspects of the program, including player development, recruiting, communications, social media, and game preparation.

Adrian College Athletics is excited to see Reed bring his experience and energy to the coaching staff, helping continue the tradition of excellence within Bulldog men's lacrosse.
