Final Stats

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College women's soccer team defeated conference foe Trine University Saturday afternoon by the score of 6-0.

Cody McDonald scored her first goal of the season and the first goal of the game at the 10:10 mark in the first half. Lindsay Chitwood earned the assist on the play.

Chitwood pushed the Bulldog lead to 2-0 by scoring off of a penalty kick during the 31st minute of the first half. Chitwood went on to score her ninth and tenth goal of the season against the Thunder to earn the hat trick. Her third goal came in the second half at the 74:16 mark.

Bethany Cousino scored her first goal of the season off an assist from Melissa Rederstorf in the second half. Cody McDonald added the final goal of the game off an assist from Cousino at the 88 minute mark in the second half to give the bulldogs a 6-0 shutout victory.

Steffeny Burns was the goalkeeper for Adrian. Burns only needed to record one save to earn her fifth win of the season.

The women's soccer team will return to action Wednesday, Oct. 1, when they host Calvin at 4:00 p.m.
