MISHAWAKA, Ind. -
After a rain storm cancelled the women's soccer game earlier this week against Baldwin-Wallace, the Bulldogs recorded a come-from-behind 2-1 win at Bethel (Ind.) College on Friday night under the lights. The crowd had much to cheer about for the previously unbeaten (3-1) Pilots for the first 56 minutes of the match as they led 1-0 on a Lindsey Hyduk goal in the 50th minute.
At the 56:58 mark it was junior Lindsay Chitwood scoring her second goal of the early season with an assist from Kellie Irwin to tie the match. Chitwood scored the game-winner just 5:36 later with an assist from Christine McIntyre for her third tally in 2008 giving Adrian their second win in three tries this season.
Bethel was credited with nine total shots and Adrian had seven total shots in the match. Steffeny Burns made three saves in goal for the Bulldogs in her collegiate debut.
