Final Stats

OLIVET, Mich. - The women's soccer team completed their MIAA regular season on Saturday at Olivet and shutout the Comets, 3-0, finishing 6-2 in the conference. The Bulldogs were in second place in the conference standings entering today's play.

Senior Lindsay Chitwood got Adrian on the board at the 34:19 mark netting her team-leading 10th goal of the season. She took a pass from freshman Samantha Bono and carried the ball down the left sideline before cutting in toward the goal and placing the ball in the upper left corner.

Freshman Lauren Cozzi gave AC a two-goal advantage at 71:36 scoring her third goal of the season with an assist from freshman Patti Vaassen. Cozzi's header off a corner kick seemed to be a little spark as it took only 1:27 for the Bulldogs to add another goal and salt away the win.

Vaassen scored her first goal of the season with an assist from Chitwood on a shot to the upper corner of the goal. Adrian had 20 shots and eight shots on goal. Olivet managed to record eight shots and five shots on goal. Sophomore Steffeny Burns recorded the shutout in goal for Adrian.
