AC Softball Stays Undefeated

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Adrian College women's softball team won two more games on Monday to improve their overall record to 4-0. AC defeated Widener 5-0 to start the day, and the Bulldogs concluded day two with a 4-2 victory over Catholic.

Freshman Kelly Eberhardt was on the mound for Adrian against Widener. Eberhardt threw a complete game to earn her first career win as a Bulldog. She walked three batters, but only allowed three hits through seven innings.

Kristin Toney went 1-for-2 with one walk, and one RBI for AC. The duo of Krissy Sheets and Meghan Stevens once again provided Adrian with some offense. Sheets went 2-for-3 and scored a run, while Stevens went 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

Adrian's pitching was the key to success again in game two. Kelly Tomasek threw a complete game to earn the win on the mound for AC. Tomasek allowed two earned runs off five hits. She only allowed one walk, while striking out eight batters.

Toney and Stevens came up big at the plate for the Bulldogs. Stevens hit a two RBI double for Adrian and also scored a run. Toney ended the game 2-for-3 with two RBIs and also scored a run.

The team will play again tomorrow March 3, with games against Eastern Mennonite (1 p.m.) and York (3 p.m.).
