ADRIAN, Mich. -- The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the Academic All-District Teams for softball on Tuesday afternoon with five Bulldogs honorees. Adrian College was only able to nominate up to five players.
Representing the Adrian College softball team, Avery Clark, Taylor Gerhardt, Peyton Russell, Hanna Walker, and Ava Wolfe earned CSC Academic All-District honors.
To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District award, student-athletes must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher
- Be at least a sophomore academically and athletically
- Eligible nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances OR pitched 35 innings.
Members of the CSC Academic All-District Teams advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, where first-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be selected later this season.
