NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The women's soccer squad picked up their 10th
win of the season and eclipsed double-digit wins for the third
straight season with a 2-0 victory on Saturday at Saint Mary's.
Adrian (10-4-3, 4-3 MIAA) used a strong first half and then cruised
in the second half as they kept the Belles winless in the MIAA
(0-7).
Chayna Wallace played in net for the Bulldogs (8-3-3) and made
two saves. The Adrian attack managed 13 shots on goal and 17 total
shots in the contest. McKenzie Doda got the game off on the right
note with her third goal of the season at 6:31. Brittany Moreau was
credited with the assist on the score which came on a header inside
the box.
Patti Vaassen made it 2-0 at 27:44 unassisted as she blasted a
free kick into the goal from 18 yards out. It was her second goal
of the season. The Bulldogs will wrap up the regular season at
Kalamazoo on Wednesday.
