Women's Soccer Drops a 2-0 Decision at Alma in MIAA Semifinals

ALMA, Mich. - The season came to an end on Tuesday (Nov. 2) for the women's soccer team as the Bulldogs went on the road in the MIAA Semifinals and dropped a 2-0 decision to top-seeded Alma.

The Scots were ready for the Bulldogs after earning a bye in the first round of the MIAA Tournament as they held Adrian to just two shots on goal and five total shots on a nice weather day in Alma.

Alma recorded 19 total shots and seven shots on goal for the contest and got both goals in the first half of play. Alli Meurer put Alma ahead at 31:44 for her eighth goal of the year with an assist from Carly Reising. The Scots increased their lead to 2-0 at 40:20 as Becky Marton got the score from Reising and Taryn Handyside.

Anika Johnson and Courtney Pomeroy had the two shots on goal for Adrian as both were quality scoring chances. Stevie Burns made five saves in goal.
