Eberhardt Helps Adrian to Split on Day One of Rebel Spring Games

ORLANDO, Fla. - The 2010 softball season is underway after the Bulldogs earned a split on Monday in Orlando. Adrian lost to Ursinus 5-0 before pulling off a 7-0 win versus Regis College.

In the first contest, Adrian had just one hit in the contest off the bat of Sarah Hall. She went 1-for-2 with a single and a walk. Kelly Tomasek threw two innings and gave up three runs (two earned). Kelly Eberhardt came in the game in relief and threw five innings and yielded two earned runs. She also had six strikeouts and gave up three walks.

In the win over Regis, Eberhardt threw no-hit ball threw 5.2 innings and struck out 11 batters. She allowed just one base runner via a walk. Jessie Plague finished the game in the circle and struck out three. Katie Adams went 1-for-2 with a pair of runs scored and a stolen base. Amara Karapas went 2-for-2 with a double and RBI. Jenna Kloster went 1-for-2 with a run scored, RBI and sacrifice. Rachel Batman was 1-for-3 with a walk, RBI and stolen base.

The team will play Wittenberg and Thomas More on Tuesday.
