Results

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. - The women's tennis team won the final three singles matches and also claimed the three doubles matchup but it was not enough to pull out a win at Spring Arbor on Tuesday.

Adrian (3-5) narrowly picked up their second win of the season against the Cougars but Spring Arbor evened the score with two wins in doubles to set the tone. Robyn Denney and Sarah Brooks fell 8-4 at one doubles and Adrienne Haase and Shannon Woods also fell 8-3 at two doubles. Sarah Kean and Shelby Kruszewski got a point with ease at three doubles winning 8-0.

Denney had the closest singles match among those could not pull it out. She won the first set 6-3 but then could not finish it off dropping 6-3 and 6-2 consecutive sets to Kelly Smith. Katelyn Simcina went three sets in a win at four singles with a 6-0, 4-6, 6-1 triumph. Kean won 6-1, 6-1 at five singles and Woods won 6-1, 6-2 at six singles.
