TIFFIN, Ohio – The Bulldog women's soccer team took
advantage of their five shots on goal finding the back of the net
twice in a 2-0 win at Heidelberg University on Wednesday night.
Freshman Sam Barker had both goals for Adrian and now has four
goals in four games this season.
Barker took six total shots with three shots on goal. The
Bulldogs outshot Heidelberg, 5-3, in shots on goal while the
'Berg had 10 total shots compared to nine for the
Bulldogs.
The first goal for Barker came at 16:33 on a shot into the far
post as Tessa Kellar had the assist. Heidelberg kept it close until
the 80:58 mark as Barker iced it with an assist from Courtney Pomeroy off a goalkeeper deflection.
Chayna Wallace made three saves in her third straight shutout in
net for the Bulldogs. She has made 17 saves and a 0.50 goals
against average this season.
